Handyman – praca na Islandii

Great opportunities for experienced and talented handymen with one of the largest workshops in Iceland.

The recruitment agency Kollegi in Iceland is looking for employees that have experience and talent

to solve job tasks in the following categories:

Carpenter work – Making repairs and building walls and frames of wood and gypsum

Painter – Painting buildings, offices, homes and other items

Electican work – Laying electrical wiering in houses and where needed

Welding – Capable of using welding machines for different task

Masonry work – Tiles and other general tasks

Plumbing – Understanding of plumbing af capability to solve simpler task in that field

The companys core business is offering repair on trucks, busses and trailers.

Today, the company employs about 70 mechanics (80% are Polish) working in its two workshops

in the capital Reykjavik. The total area of ​​the workshop is about 6000m2 fully equipped.

Work hours are 08:00 to 18:00 on weekdays. However, the company can in many cases offer extra hours

at higher rates in the evenings and weekends.

To make it easier for newcomers, the company has several apartments located within the Reykjavik Capital Area. Here, employees can rent rooms at attractive prices (compared to the free market) if they want to.

OPIS STANOWISKA

The position of handymen with the company involves general maintenance on the company buildings

and the many apartments that the company has around Reykjavik capital city. Furthermore, handymen

can in some cases be of assistance in the workshops on many different tasks such as changing floors in trailers,

laying new carpets into busses and other tasks.

WYMAGANIA

Broad knowledge and experience of working with different topics from the construction industry

Knowledge of mechanical repairs are a plus – not neccessary

Good communication skills

English skills – Conversational level/starter level

Driverslicense

Capability to work alone and in teams

Good physical health
